Outdoor Play-Based Curriculum
At Rainbow, we believe that just about everything you can do inside, you can do outside!
Children spend their morning in our beautiful private playground.
Children learn in nature, enjoying the pleasant Noe Valley weather. Teachers encourage children to explore, play and develop social skills in a safe, nurturing and creative environment.
Outdoor Activities include organic gardening, sand and water play, climbing, art, music, cooking, science and much more!
Enrichment Activities
Children participate in daily enrichment activities including dance, yoga, music, cooking, science, gardening and art.
Cooking, science, gardening and art exploration are taught at Rainbow by our staff. Teacher Kim and Annina lead our cooking and daily art activities, and Gardener Joanna implements an integrated curriculum based on gardening and nature exploration. JAMaRoo Kids instructs weekly music, dance and yoga classes. Teacher Hillary leads our Art Technique, Sensory/Science Exploration program, encouraging children to create masterpieces in the styles of Picasso, Ruth Asawa, Matisse and other famous artists, or teaching scientific principals through hands-on sensory play. Teacher Hillary's lessons are shared with parents by email each week and are also available on our YouTube Channel.
Access to Online Content Library
In 2020, Rainbow developed an online curriculum to keep our children engaged during the COVID-19 state wide school closures.
The online curriculum contains various recordings of our own Rainbow teachers reading stories, teaching cooking activities, art projects, science projects, gardening, yoga, and dance classes.
All of our content is developed based on specific lessons and themes such as colors, shapes, animals, feelings and many more.
Our Online Content Library can be accessed by currently enrolled families at anytime.
Community
